About Bruges Christmas Markets
There cant be many settings more beautiful at Christmas than medieval Bruges, with its cobbled streets, historic buildings and horses and carts plodding by. The Christmas market on the main square forms a ring around an open-air ice rink.
Colourful lights illuminate festive stalls crammed with Christmas goodies, where shoppers can browse tables laden with elegantly-packaged chocolates, brightly-coloured sweets and unusual hand-made decorations. After a hard days shopping, cosy bars offer distinguished local beer to relax with.
Brussels Markets
Brussels hold their Winter Wonderland on the Place Sainte Catherine every year from late November to early January. The Christmas Market with cheerful lights, delicious aromas and large number of stalls promises a true holiday experience. In addition to the Christmas Markets there is an ice skating rink! Don’t forget to pop by the Grand Palace for their festive decorations!
Ostend Christmas Market and Ice-Skating Rink
Opening Hours: Mon-Fri 11am-6pm; Sat & Sun 11am-9pm
Ostend has its very own Christmas Market and ice-skating rink. Head to the citys main square for lots of winter cheer with music provided by a live DJ, food and mulled wine.
Antwerp
Antwerp is a lively hidden gem. Its medieval streets, Renaissance monuments and vibrant nightlife tend to be overshadowed by its reputation as centre of the diamond trade and as the worlds fifth-largest port. Cycling The popular and busy Grote Markt is a must visit, and check our the art and architecture of the unfinished Cathedral of Our Lady, which was started in 1351!
