What better way to spend your weekend than a fantastic tour up to Loch Ness and the Highlands?
This tour will leave our HQ on Saturday morning. After taking in the breathtaking beauty of Glencoe and the Great Glen, we spend our night within walking distance of Loch Ness before returning through the Cairngorms and picturesque Perthshire to Edinburgh on Sunday evening.
Day 1- Leaving Edinburgh we head straight to Stirling to hear the tales surrounding William Wallace and Robert the Bruce. After we begin to wind our way into the mountains where there will be Hairy Coos, walks to enjoy breathtaking scenery and plenty of stops to soak up the Highland atmosphere! With Glencoe, Ben Nevis (Britains highest mountain) and meandering along the Great Glen before Loch Ness, its an action packed day! Tonight we spend in the pretty town of Lewiston within walking distance to the banks of Loch Ness. With an outdoor BBQ (if we get a heatwave ...!), pubs with live music within 5 mins from the hostel and a roaring fire inside, its the perfect place to stay!
Day 2 - This morning we begin to make our way South. There will be another chance to spot Nessie (you never know when she may appear!) before we continue up to tragic Culloden Battlefield to hear of Bonnie Prince Charlies last stand. There will be time to go back over 4000 years of history as we visit Clava Cairns (ancient burial site with superb standing stones). After lunch in a cosy pub or perhaps the ski town of Aviemore, well enjoy a short walk to see the Falls of Bruar and Pitlochry as we make our way back to Edinburgh – happy honorary Scots!
Tour itineraries and accommodation can vary due to acts of God etc, but we normally stick to this. Kitty includes accommodation, evening meals and breakfast.

Travel Information
Tour cost: £60.00 + £20.00 Kitty
A person may not travel without paying the full kitty amount. No tour refunds will be given upon refusal to pay the kitty. The group will dispose of any remaining kitty funds democratically.
Passenger Cancellations
Percentages of purchase price to be refunded to passenger upon their cancellation:
Over 14 days - 60% returned upon cancellation, Cancellation must be in writing.
Less than 14 days - 0% returned upon cancellation.
All tickets are transferable or may be used against a higher value booking up to 5 days in advance of departure. A £10 charge will apply.
A doctors note must be produced upon hospitalisation confirming that it would be unsuitable for the reserved to travel. In the event of a relatives death a certificate is required. In both cases upon receipt of note or certificate a full refund may be given less a £10 admin charge.
