These stored calories will remain in your body as fat unless you use them up, either by reducing calorie intake so that your body must draw on reserves for energy, or by increasing physical activity so that you burn more calories.
If you want to be successful and lose weight after pregnancy it is essential to understand that your weight is a balance between what you eat and what you convert to energy. The weight management equation is simple in that if you eat more calories than you burn, you gain weight and conversely if you eat less calories than you burn, you lose weight.
